LAKE LURE
is a jewel set in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina.  Two hours west of Charlotte and 45 minutes southeast of Asheville, the area is a haven for those seeking  laid-back living surrounded by natural beauty.  Among many opportunities is joining the Lake Lure Newcomers Club.

THE NEWCOMERS CLUB is open to all Lake Lure residents who meet one simple requirement: they must join within two years of establishing residency. Members of the club can choose to participate in a variety of activities, all of which involve creating new, or enjoying old, friendships. Anyone interested should call 625-1738.

DINING OUT is an activity of the Lake Lure Newcomers Club and is the reason for this website. Those who opt to participate in Dining Out join together monthly in small groups and travel to restaurants within about an hour's drive from Lake Lure. Monthly groups of six to eight persons are established twice a year. The composition changes each month and each group has a designated leader. Follow the links above to see currently assigned groups and details on how Dining Out functions. If you are a member of Lake Lure Newcomers call 625-2213 if you wish to join Dining Out.
